Esmeralda Ledesma is a Mexican-American dance artist, choreographer, performer and educator born in Dallas, Texas. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Dance with a Minor in Education from Texas Woman’s University. She was a member of the International Dance Company (IDC) performing Folklorico, hip-hop and contemporary pieces with choreographers Elisa De La Rosa, Deardre Randolph, and Sarah Tran. Esmeralda has also choreographed a hip-hop piece for the International Dance Company, where she received the Daryl Cleveland Excellence and Choreography award.
Esmeralda is currently a performer with Jordan Fuchs Company and TranScend Motion. She is also an Assistant Director for Sunset Dance Company and Dance Instructor at Dallas Ballet Center. Esmeralda recently performed at the 254 Fest in Waco, Texas with Jordan Fuchs Company. She has also performed choreographic works by her peers and has participated in productions such as the American College Dance Association (ACDA) with IDC, Turning Tables project with Deardre Randolph, and the Latino/a/x Contemporary Dance Festival with Miranda Zapata and Cami Holeman. She has also performed for two Korean Artists concert, Minho Jang and June.
As an artist, her goal is to inspire, give back to the community and help other dancers grow in their own dance journey.
